Cyber security expert Jiten Jain wrote on Twitter about this that the phone number database of Clubhouse users is being sold on the darknet. According to him, phone numbers of many people were included in this despite not being logged on to Clubhouse because the phonebooks of the users were also synced.
However, according to security researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia, this leaked claim is fake. In this data of Clubhouse, only the mobile number is there while no one’s name is there. Rajaharia told news agency IANS that neither the name, nor the photo nor other details are included in the data leak. The list of phone numbers can be generated easily.
