Within two weeks of launching the device, the new M1-equipped Mac Mini Apple topped the Japanese desktop PC market.
Japanese analytics firm BCN Retail has compiled sales data for multinational retailers and online stores across the country. Between August 1 and November 3, Apple had a 15% share of the desktop PC market in Japan and was battling Lenovo for third place.
With the release of the first Apple Silicon Mac Mini on November 17th, Apple Computer stormed into BCN retail sales, with Cupertino Tech topping the list. Apple currently has a market share of 27.1 percent, up 14.4 percent in just one week, according to BCN Retail.

The 2020 Mac Mini is Apple’s first desktop, proprietary M1 chipset, with an eight-core CPU, an eight-core GPU, and integrated memory. In benchmark testing, the M1 chip failed the high-end Intel Mac Mini by large margins.
Apple’s new M1 Mac Mac Mini starts at 99 699 and offers users the M1 chip, 8GB of unified memory, and 256GB of internal SSD storage.
