Sony has confirmed that the Apple TV app will hit the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles in November.
The PlayStation 5 will launch on November 12 and will launch the Apple TV app available on that day. Similarly, an update to the PlayStation 4 brings the app to that console. The news came after Xbox beta testers found the app on the Xbox App Store as well.

The Apple TV app allows PlayStation users to access Apple TV + content, Apple TV channels, and all iTunes content purchased on the console. Apple’s efforts to make Apple TV + content available on all platforms show their commitment to the service and its longevity.

Apple recently announced that it was acquiring streaming rights to all “peanut” features, including holiday specials. That means users can watch “A Charlie Brown Golden Thanksgiving” on the PS5 via the Apple TV app.
Apple TV’s trial has been extended to February 2021 to ensure that anyone using the trial genre has enough time to watch season two content of popular shows. For example, “Dickinson” will air its season two premiere on January 8, 2021.
