WhatsApp Multi-Device Support Rolls Out Beta Testers
We have been hearing since last year that WhatsApp is going to bring Multi-Device Support. It is also known that this Multi-Device Support is going to be a little different. Now this Multi-Device Support has started to roll out among the WhatsApp Beta Users.
Multi-Device Support has started to roll out among WhatsApp Beta Testers
Just a few days ago, WhatsApp said that the kind of multi-device support they are working with is going to be a little different. This multi-device support of WhatsApp does not mean that you can use WhatsApp on four smartphones simultaneously. You can use your same WhatsApp account on all four devices at the same time. It could be a smartphone, a laptop, a personal computer, or a tablet.
Not just here, but one step further, WhatsApp said that for this multi-device support, you don’t have to keep the internet connection on your main device all the time. Even End-to-End Encryption can be found in this facility. Which shocked everyone in a terrible way.
WhatsApp said that in order to maintain this end-to-end encryption, that is, WhatsApp users have to take the help of different technologies to bring this Multi-Device Support while maintaining security. So when this feature is rolled out for everyone, even if the battery of your smartphone runs out. However, you can easily access your WhatsApp account from any of your other devices.
In some cases, we have to read all the time when our phone does not have a good internet connection. Even in that case, you can easily use WhatsApp from any of your other devices if you get this feature. So far, only a limited number of beta testers have been able to use this feature. They will get this feature by going to the Linked Device option in their account.
From there they can access their WhatsApp account on any other device by scanning the QR code. That is what Will Cathcart, the head of WhatsApp said. WhatsApp has not yet specified when this feature will be rolled out to all users. However, it is thought that it will not be too late for WhatsApp to roll out this feature among all.
It is undeniable that WhatsApp users are eagerly awaiting this new feature. What is your opinion on this? Be sure to leave a comment.
