According to Twitter, before applying according to the verification policy, check that your account is complete. Profile name, image and email ID or phone number must be verified. For the last six months, the account should be active and make sure that your tweets do not violate the policy of Twitter. During the verification, the ID, official email ID and official website issued by the government will have to be given. Different links will also have to be given according to different categories.
How to apply for verification i.e. Blue Badge?
According to Twitter, the verification application will start appearing in the account settings tab of all Twitter users within the next few weeks. This time the method will be different than before. Before this, one had to fill the verification form by clicking on the link. The company has said that if you do not see the Verification application in the account settings of your profile right now, then there is nothing to panic about. Gradually, this option will start appearing in everyone’s Twitter account.
Once you submit the application, Twitter will reply via email within a few days. The company has said that it may take a few weeks. This time depends on how many people’s accounts are in the queue for verification. If your application approves that the blue badge will automatically appear near the profile. If it is not approved, its information will be given to you through the mail. After this, after 30 days, you will be able to apply for Twitter verification again.
Twitter has said that this verification policy may not be representative of all those who are eligible for Twitter verification. Therefore, in the coming time, verification will also be brought for new account types. Under this, there will be an option of account verification of scientists, academics, and religious leaders.
