In a tweet, the company has said that the application can again be accessed through the Account Settings tab. For this, in the Twitter app in Android phones, you have to go to the left sidebar menu. Coming here, you have to select Settings and Privacy. Here you will see the verification request option in the account section.
Let us tell you that the company does not give blue ticks to any user. For this, the user must fall in the eligible category. The company has told about 6 categories in which the users coming can apply for the Blue Badge.
Government officials, journalists, brands or businesses, and other notable names can apply for a blue badge on a Twitter account. The users applying have to provide a link to the official website, any government document like driving license or passport and official e-mail address in relation to them.
If your request for verification is cancelled. So you can submit the application again after 30 days. Otherwise, you will directly see the verification badge in your profile.
The Twitter verification program was suspended in 2017. At that time it was said on behalf of Twitter that the program was stopped because there is a lot of confusion among the people about it. People were thinking of blue tick as an indicator of endorsement or importance.
