Following the September 14 ‘time flies’ event, Apple released the new iOS 14 for all eligible iPhones, where they announced the new Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, and two new iPods. However, while all of this is very exciting, the back tap feature only works on the iPhone 8 and newer iPhones. Also, this feature is not available on the iPad. Apple has slipped into another feature called Sound Recognition. It is also available under the 'Accessibility' tab from the Settings menu. The voice recognition toggle allows you to hear certain sounds like your iPhone alarms, sirens, and baby crying ATC and let you know if the phone hears anything. Apple warns you not to rely on voice recognition and to use it for navigation in case you are harmed or injured.
