Strings in Apple’s own Apple Music app for Android indicate that the company will one day call the upcoming subscription bundle “Apple One” and that Apple has worked to register several domain names for the term. This activity indicates that the bundle has more potential as a marketing name than the Apple placeholder.
While Apple does not suspend most domain names, it is common for the company to make a number of changes to ensure that others have no control over them.
Several “Apple One” domain names registered yesterday are as follows:
- appleone.audio
- appleone.blog
- appleone.chat
- appleone.cloud
- appleone.club
- appleone.community
- appleone.film
- appleone.guide
- appleone.host
- appleone.space
- appleone.tech
- appleone.website
Full contact information about domain registrations has been redesigned for privacy, but there is no doubt that Apple is responsible for registrations representing batch domains and all Apple name servers.
Apple has been able to register multiple common versions of the domain, but it still does not control the most popular applications such as AppleOne.com and Apple.net. The other two domains have been registered for over a decade and it remains to be seen if Apple will try to acquire them.
Apple.com, a very large employment company, may have some issues with Apple.net, but Apple.net is currently down and available for sale.
Apple One bundles may appear at Tuesday’s event or next month’s new iPhones, offering a slight discount to many of Apple’s current services.
- One basic package is ‘Apple Music’ and ‘Apple TV’
- The second line is Apple Arcade.
- The third bundle line includes all the services above Apple News +.
It also includes a new fitness-based service that offers virtual fitness classes, including ‘Apple Music’, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade, Apple News +, and iCloud storage.
