WhatsApp is bringing new features, chat backup can be taken from one phone to another
With new mobile phones being launched in the market almost every day, shoppers also often change the brand of their mobile. But due to the regular change of smartphones, we sometimes miss the chats in the popular messaging app WhatsApp. This is because while switching WhatsApp accounts allows chats to be backed up to Google Drive (for Android users) and iCloud (for iPhone users), it does not allow these backups to be transferred from one device to another when switching to a smartphone. But now there is nothing to worry about because the app is going to bring a feature soon, which will allow transferring chat history between iOS and Android phones.
WhatsApp’s feature tracker, WABetaInfo, said today that the Facebook-owned platform is bringing a new update in the future, where iOS and Android users will be able to transfer chat history between any smartphone. As a result, the report claims that it will be quite helpful to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices. A screenshot of the iOS version of WhatsApp was shared on this topic on behalf of the website. It shows ‘move chats to Android’ in the title of the screen, along with ‘update now’ and ‘not now’.
By the way, to get this new feature, the user needs to have the latest update of WhatsApp installed on his smartphone from ‘App Store’ or ‘Testflight’. Otherwise, whenever the user tries to link a device with a separate operating system to his WhatsApp account, it will not work.
So far, however, no expected date has been announced for the feature to launch. However, WABetaInfo claims that “while the realization of this feature is time-consuming, it will completely change your WhatsApp usage experience.”
