The Apple Watch ‘SE’ may come with the name Apple Watch and Apple Watch Pro, probably for both dial sizes.
The tipster said rumors were rife that the Apple Watch ‘SE’ would be unveiled at the company’s Timeflies virtual event on September 15. The Cupertino giant will also release the Apple Watch Series 6, the rumored iPad Air 4 and iPad 8, and the iPhone 12 models or AirPods Studio headphones. Earlier this week, Apple sent out invitations to its Timeflies event on September 15, and the name was dropped to tease the Apple Watch and iPad Air launches.
The trusted tipster zone processor shared on Twitter the opportunity to unveil the Apple Watch ‘SE’ at Apple’s September 15 event Timeflies event. While Apple did not share any details on what it plans to reveal, the Apple Watch ‘SE’ is the next iteration of the Apple Watch Series 6, the iPad and iPod Air – the iPad Air is the 4th generation and the iPad is the 8th generation. The tipster said there are no plans for iPhone 12 models or the rumored Airpods studio.
Speaking of the rumored Apple Watch ‘SE’, the processor is said to be available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm. The 40mm variant with GPS has the code name N140S, while the cellular 40mm variant has the codename N140B. Though, the 44mm GPS difference of the Apple Watch ‘SE’ is codenamed N142S, while the cellular variant is codenamed N142b. The smartwatch is said to follow the Apple Watch Series 4 design with an all-on display, without ECG, and powered by Apple’s M9 chip.
The Apple Watch may have the ‘SE’ Apple Watch names, while the latest Apple Watch Series 6 is called the Apple Watch Pro. It has been rumored before that Apple will release an adaptation of its Apple Watch Series 3 lineup, which still sells as an affordable alternative to the latest Apple Watch series model – and this new SE series could be it.
The Apple Watch ‘SE’, as the name suggests, is considered to be a more affordable version of the Apple Watch, as Apple has previously done with its iPhone SE and iPhone SE (2020). The processor does not share any information on the iPad Air 4 (not the official name) or the iPad 8 (not the official name). Finally, Tipster states that these devices will be the main focus of the event, but there will also be additional announcements.
