Apple TV + won the first prime time land with Billy Crudup winning the show on “The Morning Show”.
Billy Crudup, who won the Apple TV + first award in January 2020, has now won the streaming service’s first prime time land for the same performance. His performance in “The Morning Show” won him Best Supporting Actor in a Crude Drama Series.
“It was an incredible experience,” said Croop, who received the award at a socially distant ceremony. The actor thanked “The Morning Show”, his teammates, and “People at Apple” for giving him the role.
“I know it’s second-time luck for me, so I’ve tried to thank everyone involved in this project for supporting and loving me in my life, so if you like it, please do not thank me.”
Apple TV + received 18 nominations, the first year to qualify for the award. That means Apple TV won + 11.25% of all land nominations this year. The “Morning Show” took only 5% of the possible nominations.
