The social media app Instagram is working on a set of new tools that allow users to make money from the platform. These new tools include Creator Shops, Commerce Marketplaces and Branded Content Marketplaces.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the upcoming feature during a live stream with Instagram chief Adam Moseri. According to Engadget, Creators Shops will expand the company’s existing purchasing facilities, allowing businesses to sell products.
“We’ve seen a lot of people start shops,” Zuckerberg said. This is part of a business model. With this one can create a great model and sell it perfectly. That’s why such creators shops on social media are a good option, he said.
Zuckerberg also said that the company is working on tools that will enable Instagram users to pay to promote their products, as well as to promote their products. He said that a relevant recommendation marketplace needs to be created for this.
Instagram is also working on a branded content marketplace, which will help match influencers with sponsors. According to reports, work on this new tool is currently underway.
