Today the Apple event sees new product launches and California giant Cupertino is expected to unveil new iPad and Apple Watch models. A few hours before the big event, the leak provides the highlights of some of the rumors that Apple is announcing. These include the fourth-generation iPod Air or iPod Air 4, the eighth generation iPod, the Apple Watch Series 6, and the Apple Watch SE. There is a rumor that information about the processor and charging port on the iPod models has been leaked.
Rich tipper Evan Blass has taken to Twitter to leak information about the upcoming iPod and Apple Watch products. Blas tweeted that the fourth-generation iPad Air or iPod Air 4 could be powered by a new A14 processor and switch to a USB Type-C port similar to the iPod Pro series. It may have a design similar to the iPod Pro series and allow Touch ID for a newer model. The eighth-generation iPad is about to launch, powered by an older A12X processor, and supports the Lightning port.
The event will also unveil the Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE models, Blas said. The Apple Watch Series 6 is the successor to the Apple Watch Series 5 that launched last year, and the Apple Watch SE will be an affordable offer – the first in the Apple wearable range. The Apple Watch Series 6 is coming with S4 processor. This is totally weird with the Apple Watch Series 5 coming with the S5 processor. The Apple Watch Series 6 comes in two dial sizes and has Bluetooth and LTE connectivity.
The cheap and affordable Apple Watch SE comes in two dial sizes and offers Bluetooth and LTE connectivity. The smartwatch is rumored to come in both 40mm and 44mm dial sizes. The Apple Watch SE may or may not have some important features like the ECG function.
The Apple Event starts at 10 am on the PDT (10.30 pm IST) and is presented via YouTube and the Apple Events page.
