How to use the ‘Windows Hello’ feature in Windows 10?
If your Windows 10 laptop has a built-in camera and a fingerprint reader, the laptop supports Windows Hello. That being said, you may be wondering what Windows Hello is.
So today we are telling you about Windows Hello. ‘Windows Hello‘ is a fancy non-password login security option feature introduced by Windows 10 in 2015.
Most of the log-in options are biometric. This feature verifies your identity by scanning your fingerprint and face like in Apple.
So, you can access your Windows account. Windows Hello also has the option of biometric, PIN number, and password.

Why use Windows Hello?
If you’re frustrated with the use of passwords when accessing your Windows account, the biometric option is safer and easier for you. But to enable Windows Hello, your laptop needs in-Bluetooth support for biometric login.
Or you may need to install compatible biometric login devices. For example webcam and fingerprint reader etc.
If you enable Windows Hello, the Windows Ten login from the password will be disabled automatically. But you may still need an account password to access some system functions.
How to configure or Enable Windows Hello?
It is very easy to access the Windows Hello option in the settings. To do this, first, go to your computer’s settings.
Click ‘Accounts’ from Settings. After clicking on the account, now the ‘Sign in option’ appears on the left sidebar of the screen, click on it.
After clicking on it, you will see the Windows Hello options that your laptop supports and does not. Go there and select the login option you need.
Windows Hello Face: You can log in with facial recognition. You need a special kind of camera to support this feature.
Windows Hello Fingerprint: It can be logged by scanning the fingerprint. It can be a built-in or plug-in fingerprint on your laptop.
Windows Hello PIN: PIN acts as a backup in case biometric login fails. In addition, instead of using a password, you can use it as the main login option.
Security Key: You can also sign in with the security key. It is a small device, which is either plugged into your USB port or read by a special RFID reader device.
If Windows Hello is not enabled now, you will see the ‘Password’ and ‘Picture Password’ options. This is not a hello option.
How to disable Windows Hello Feature
If by default Windows Hello is enabled, you cannot log in with a password. If you want to disable Windows Hello sign-in options, you can select ‘Remove’ by clicking on each item.

You also locate the switch level ‘Require Windows Hello Sign in for Microsoft Account‘ and flip it to ‘Off’. After doing so, turn off the setting, and changes to the setting will begin to take effect.
