Not Android, the new Harmony OS launches Huawei MatePad 11, MatePad Pro 12.6, and 10 10.8
Yesterday, in addition to the official launch of HarmonyOS, Huawei announced three new tabs under its MatePad lineup. These are the Kirin 9000 processor tablet MatePad Pro (12.6 ″), the MatePad Pro with Snapdragon 870 processor (10.8 ″), and the MatePad 11 that comes with the Snapdragon 865 processor. Harmony OS 2 (second version) will be pre-installed on all three tabs. In other words, this is the first time that a Chinese company has brought a tab without the Android operating system. Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6: Specifications and Features
As you can see from the name, this flagship tab of Huawei MatePad comes with a 12.6-inch display. It uses an OLED panel as a display. Its resolution is 2560 × 1600 pixels. It is also the first tablet in the world to receive TUV Rheinland Full Care Display 2.0 certification. Having a selfie camera on the side bezel of the Huawei tab will allow you to make video calls while in a landscape position.
MatePad Pro 12.6 is available in Wi-Fi and 5G versions. The Wi-Fi version will have a Kirin 9000E processor and the 5G version will have a Kirin 9000 processor. Both versions have 8 GB of RAM. However, the Wi-Fi version will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage and the 5G version will be available in 256GB single memory configuration.
The MatePad Pro 12.6 features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel main camera with f / 1.8 aperture at the rear + an ultraviolet angle lens with f / 2.4 aperture, and a 3D depth sensor.
The MatePad Pro 12.6 tab has 8 speakers tuned by Harman Kardon with Histen 7.0 sound effects. The tab has four microphones that can pick up the user’s voice from a distance of a few meters. Again it can cancel background noise when making video calls or video recordings.
Huawei has a 10050mAh battery for power backup on this tab, which will provide up to 14 hours of playback time. It will support 40W fast wired charging, 27W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Huawei shipped 40W supercharge power adapter with MatePad Pro 12.6.
Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6: Price and Availability
Pre-orders for the MatePad Pro 12.6 are starting today and the sale of the tab will start from June 10. The MatePad Pro 12.6 is available in Silver Frost, Matte Gray, and Olive Green color options.
MatePad Pro 12.6 Tablet has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage + Wi-Fi, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage + Wi-Fi, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage + Wi-Fi (keyboard case and M-Pencil 2 Stylus) The versions are priced at 4999 yuan (about Rs 57,000), 5499 yuan (about Rs 62,700), and 6,699 yuan (about Rs 76,400) respectively.
The MatePad Pro 12.6 is priced at 7,999 yuan (about Rs 92,100) with 5G + 8GB RAM + 256GB storage (keyboard case and M-Pencil 2 Stylus) version.
Huawei MatePad Pro 10 10.8: Specifications and Features
The MatePad Pro 10 10.8 tablet comes with an IPS LCD display. It will support 2560 × 1600 pixel resolution, 120 hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut. There is a punch-hole cutout on the left side of the display for the selfie camera. The bezel of MatePad Pro 10.8 is 4.9 mm thin.
Here Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor has been used instead of Huawei Kirin processor. Comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB internal storage. The tab has a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
The MatePad Pro 10 10.8 has a 7250mAh battery and will support 22.5W fast wired charging, 27W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Harman Kardon’s tuned quad speakers are also available in this tab with Histen 7.0 sound effects. It also has four microphones that can pick up the user’s voice from a distance of a few meters.
Huawei MatePad Pro 10 10.8: Price and Availability
MatePad Pro 10.8 comes in Green, Gray, and White color options. The 128GB version of the tab is priced at 3799 Yuan and the 256GB version is priced at 4299 Yuan. There is also a 256GB version of MatePad Pro 10.8 with keyboard case and M-Pencil 2 stylus, priced at 5299 yuan (about Rs 60,400).
Huawei MatePad 11: Specifications and Features
The Huawei MatePad 11 Tab has a 120.9 Hz refresh rate, 10.95-inch display with 2560 × 1600 pixel resolution. The tab is powered by a Snapdragon 870 processor. It will come with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
The Huawei MatePad 11 comes with a quad-speaker, quad microphone, single rear camera, and selfie camera. It has a 7250mAh battery for power backup. Via USB-C cable which will support 22.5W fast charging.

In Europe, the Huawei MatePad 11’s 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 399 euros (about Rs 35,400).
