Google has finally unveiled the Pixel 5, which, as rumored to be, is slightly more powerful than current flagships, but is less likely to compete with handsets such as the iPhone 11 and OnePlus 8.
That means the high-end versions of the iPhone 12 will, for the most part, be the last flagship 2020 flagship phone to be released – and maybe the last surprise of sorts to increase the flagship slot in our top phone rankings.
More specifically, the high-end iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the final flagships: we hope to pack the new A14 Bionic chipset (first seen on the iPod Air 4). RAM and 5G connectivity (sub-6 and MM wave). We look forward to three similar rear shooters that came with the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, modified to take better photos, and add a lidar depth scanner.
If these Apple rumors are true using, the new iPhone 12 offers more features and better features than the Google Pixel 5. It will lead the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max against the Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy Note 20, OnePlus 8 Pro, and some of the more powerful and widely available smartphones, leaving it at the forefront of a competitor this year.

What it takes to be at the top in 2020
Top tier flagship phones are expected to have additional features, with the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max packing most of these. Although Apple phones do not use fingerprint scanners or high-resolution displays, it is rumored that the 2020 flagship feature: 120 Hz upgrade rate screens will be available. In fact, they expect 5G connectivity packs.
Claiming 4K video at 120fps, the camera leaks put the iPhone 12 Pro series at the forefront, another patent filing indicates that they have flight time (TOF) depth sensors, enables mid-air gesture controls, and even more AR capabilities mentioned above. Along with the upgraded 64MP main shooter, new image stabilization tech, and 7-element lens rumors, the iPhone 12 is trying to get camera upgrades that will compete with the Pro-Line 2020 flagships.
This allows the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max to compete more with the Samsung Galaxy S20 line, for example, the telephoto camera has been upgraded to 64MP to achieve the 30x ‘space zoom’ feature and 8K video at 24kps. Similarly, the OnePlus 8 Pro also maintained a 30x zoom and increased its ultraviolet camera to 48MP, while upgrading its original boom battery (now 4,510mAh) and 120Hz.
