TikTok: This news could be a cause of joy for millions of TikTok followers in India, as their favorite short-form video app is trying to make a comeback in the country. ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, has filed a patent, a design, and a trademark for the app. The details of the July 6 trademark application have been shared by tipster Mukul Sharma on Twitter.
In January 2020, the Indian government said it was banning 59 apps developed by Chinese firms, including TikTok, over concerns that these apps were involved in activities threatening the country’s national security and defense. There were many famous apps like She-in, Shareit, ES File Explorer.

Months after banning Tiktok, the government also blocked a lot of mobile games PUBG Mobile. It recently made a comeback as Battleground Mobile India (BGMI).
TikTok can be a new name
The Trademark app has indicated that the name of TikTok may be changed to TikTock. It is not yet known when it will be returned. However, ByteDance had told a few days ago that the company wants to resume operations in view of the new IT rules of the Modi government and US President Joe Biden administration.
