The specialty of the 2SV feature is that even knowing your password, no one will be able to open your email because to open the account, a verification code is required along with the password, which comes on your mobile. Unless you enter the verification code, the account will not be opened.
How to Enable 2SV in Gmail

- To enable the 2SV feature, you must first sign in to https://myaccount.google.com. For this, only Gmail’s ID and password have to be used.
- Then here on the left side navigation panel, you will get the option of ‘Security’, on which you have to click.
- After this, the option of ‘2-Step Verification’ will appear.
- Then click on the ‘Get Started’ button at the bottom.
- Here you will have to sign in to verify again. After this, you can turn on 2-Step Verification.
- In this by default voice and text verification message is sent to your registered mobile number.
- Apart from this, users can also use Google Prompt or Security Keys.
Google Authenticator App
If you want, you can also take the help of the Google Authenticator app for 2SV. This app generates the code to open the account i.e. login. While opening the email account, it is necessary that your phone is with you. It has the facility to generate codes even without an internet data connection. Apart from this, users can also take the help of QR codes. The Google Authenticator app can be used for Android and iOS devices.
