Use Archive feature
The easiest way to hide personal chats on WhatsApp is to archive them. This feature is already present in WhatsApp. So you do not need to install any third-party apps. Usually, if someone is not clever, it will not know that you have archived a personal message.

Do This Work
To try this method, first, open your WhatsApp, then hold on to that chat for a while, which you want to hide from the eyes of others. If you want, you can select multiple chats at the same time.
After this, now you will see the option of archive on the top right, click on it. After this, your personal chat will be hidden here.

Here’s how to view Archive chats
If you want to bring back or see Archive i.e. hidden chats, then open WhatsApp, then scroll down, here you will see the Archive button. You have to click on Archive to see the chats. Now tap and hold on to the chats you want to bring back. After this, you have to click on the Unarchive Chat icon, which you will find in the top-right corner of the screen. This way your hidden chats will be returned.
