WhatsApp brings the benefits of Default Disappearing Messages, with Multiple Durations, details by Mark Zuckerberg himself
For the convenience of the users, WhatsApp has launched Disappearing Message a long time ago. This time they launched an updated version of that feature. Mark Zuckerberg, the current CEO of Meta, has announced the details. Let’s see what this new feature does and how it works.
WhatsApp brings the benefits of Default Disappearing Messages
As a result of this Disappearing Message feature of WhatsApp, the chat would be automatically deleted after 7 days. Updated option of that feature has been brought. From now on it is known that it is not just 7 days. In addition to seven days, the default will be 24 hours and 90 days for users. That means not just 7 days. If you want, you can set the option to automatically delete the chat by default 24 hours or even after 90 days.
If this feature is turned on by default then all-new chats will be automatically deleted after that time. Even WhatsApp says that even if you can create a new group after that, the group creator will be allowed to select this option.
Mark Zuckerberg posted a Facebook post detailing this. Where he also announced the roll-out of this feature. He said that this feature has started rolling out today. Zuckerberg shared a screenshot with Tari. It is seen that he has texted his wife on WhatsApp. There is an option to automatically delete those messages after 24 hours.
Even if you don’t get the feature now, there is no reason to worry. You too will get it soon like everyone else.
