A new leak from the Chinese website Weibo says that Xiaomi is preparing to release its first budget phone for display with a 120 Hz high-update rate. In addition, the phone is rumored to have a 108MP main sensor.
Android Central has announced that a new phone will be announced later this month, and two other new Redmi Note 9 series phones are also set to take part in the announcement.
Rumor has it that the 120Hz display refresh rate phone is also reported to be part of the Redmi Note 9 series, which, like the Mi10T, supports variable upgrade rates to save battery life. The variable refresh rate feature can reduce the display refresh rate up to 30Hz depending on the visualized content to save battery.
Additionally, the budget-friendly Xiaomi phone features a 6.67-inch FHD + display and Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the glass. The 108MP main camera phone is rumored to be compatible with the Samsung Isocell HM2 sensor announced in September. The battery is rumored to be a 4,800 mAh battery cell that reportedly supports wired charging speeds of up to 33W.
