The X-Ray Setu will allow doctors to upload X-ray scans of suspected patients and detect COVID-19. Typically, this is done through CT scan or RT-PCR testing, but these technologies are not yet available in a large part of rural India, and thus X-Ray Setu can greatly help the country in its fight against coronavirus. Most notably, the X-Ray Setu WhatsApp bot can automatically scan and process and generate reports within 10-15 minutes.
Sony said the technology has been around for the past week and 500 doctors have used it.
