The head of Instagram has told about this in a blog post. With the new feature of Instagram, people will be given the ability to limit comments and DM requests. Instagram will warn users who make potentially offensive comments.
Apart from this, the Hidden Words feature has also been given in it. With this, users can filter DM requests of objectionable words. Instagram’s head Mosseri has told in a blog post that the limit feature can be easily turned on or off.
With this, this feature will automatically hide DM requests and comments of users who do not follow. This will come in very handy in a situation when people suddenly start getting a lot of DMs and comments from people they don’t know.
Similarly, with the limit feature, no creators will need to turn off messages or comments.
This will limit those people who are targeting users’ accounts. Offensive words, phrases, and emojis will be transferred to the folder with the Hidden Words feature. The company has said that after the arrival of new features, users will feel quite safe.
