Apple iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 Declaration: Extra New Features
Apple iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 Declaration – Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference has finally closed and the first topic of discussion was iOS14. If you haven’t noticed, the name of Apple’s mobile operating system continues to follow the current ‘iOS’ nomenclature, and like some recently suggested rumors, it doesn’t go back to the iPhone OS name.
During Keynote, several new features were announced that will be a part of iOS 14.

What’s the latest in iOS 14?
Apple had already introduced widgets to iOS in a limited capacity, but iOS 14 SuperCharge widgets. In addition to being able to select multiple sizes for widgets, users will eventually be able to combine widgets with apps on the home screen. Users will be able to customize their iOS device’s home screen with their favorite combination of widgets and apps. Android did this years ago, but for iOS users, it’s bound to create a new experience of accessing the things they use the most frequently.
App library
One of the biggest pain points for many iOS users is to manage the large number of apps that they install. While most users have the first few pages for storage, apps’ pages are mostly unpublished on the rest. The app library will allow you to clean additional pages of the app by placing the app in folders based on the app category. When enabled, users will be able to “hide” pages of apps that you don’t actually access, replacing them with the App Library view. Think of it as a super-charged version of folders. If your OCD is challenged by the inability to hide multiple app icons, then you are going to absolutely love the app library.

Siri Modified
Siri has received perhaps its biggest update in years, being super-charged with new capabilities as well as visual redesign. In iOS 14, Siri should not go on-screen when invoked. Perhaps the feature that will interest you most is the ability to send voice notes through Siri. Siri can now translate live on the device to suit Apple’s customer privacy grounds.

Apple translation
Piggybacking from the new Siri abilities, Apple Translation is a conversion app based on the premise that people are often looking for communicating conversions, not academics. The app will support 11 languages at the introduction, with more approaching in later months.
Message
The messaging app gets many new features, the most interesting being the pinning of contacts and conversations at the top of the messaging app. Larger and more useful changes however come on group messages. People involved in group conversations in the Messages app will be able to use the in-line reply and also receive mentions. Since group messages can get very noisy, the user will only be notified when their name is mentioned in a conversation.
Maps
Apple has also announced several new features for Maps, but most of them are limited to very few cities right now. The sad thing is that there is no Indian city on it. In the new Maps app, users will be able to find points of interest in the cities of their choice. Apple Maps iOS is also now receiving “cycling” as a means of transportation, but the feature is limited to five cities at launch.

What’s the latest in iPadOS 14?
While iOS 14 remains more of an iPhone-centric operating system, iPadOS 14 brings all the features of iOS to the iPad, as well as some special nuts and bolts.
Sidebar
Applications such as photos and music are getting a new sidebar that will present the most frequently used aspects of those apps at the user’s fingertips. Users will be able to move photos from one part of their gallery to another or perhaps transfer them entirely to another album. The sidebar allows for this to happen with a simple drag-and-drop behavior. The music app has also received a complete redesign, including a full-screen experience.
Latest research
iPadOS 14 now includes an entirely new search experience. When you come down to search, the search bar will just float on whatever you have open. These means do not interfere with the search for what you have open. Second, the search will not be implemented only for apps, but will actually be a universal search, capable of pulling results from everywhere.
Pencil supercharged
The most important update part of the iPadOS 14 updates is coming to the functionality of the pencil. Users will eventually be able to treat handwritten content as digital text, allowing you to select, move, and format it accordingly. Moore significantly, users will eventually be able to convert handwritten text to digital text on the fly, a feature that is bound to increase the popularity of the Apple Pencil.
iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 accessibility

However, for those who are eager to test the Betas drive, there will be a public beta live for the iOs, iPad OS and watchOS WLO in July. This will be the first time Apple is introducing WatchOS beta.
