Apple Privacy Nutrition Label: All apps in Apple’s App Store will have a privacy label. From here, users will be able to easily understand the privacy policy of that application. But WhatsApp has raised two questions about it.
Apple Privacy Nutrition Label: Apple announced a privacy nutrition label in the App Store during its World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC). Actually, all the apps that are available in the Apple App Store will be given a label in terms of privacy.
So far this feature has not come, but it is starting in January. WhatsApp has submitted a privacy label information for the App Store near Apple on Monday.
WhatsApp has raised some questions about this feature and has given some advice to Apple as well. WhatsApp has two main concerns regarding this feature.
With the privacy label feature of the Apple App Store, it will be easy for users to understand which app will access what kind of data and it will be known before it is downloaded.
What is the concern of WhatsApp?
WhatsApp has said, though it is being said that it will give users an easy opportunity to read privacy information, and it is a good bundle. But it is important that users are able to compare this privacy nutrition label with apps that are already installed in the iPhone.
WhatsApp’s first concern is that Apple’s messaging app iMessage is already installed on all iPhones. In such a situation, what will happen to the privacy nutrition of this app? Since Apple iMessage does not require any Apple iPhone user to download it from the App Store, how will the privacy label work on it?
The other concern of WhatsApp is that the privacy label it is getting in the App Store is also available to other apps. A WhatsApp spokesperson told Axios that, WhatsApp has a big feature of privacy in that no third person can read the messages made by it.
In such a situation, the depth of this privacy label does not show how WhatsApp is different from other apps. WhatsApp has said that the privacy label that will be given to WhatsApp is also being given to those apps which do not have privacy features like WhatsApp.

For example, Apple iMessage is pre-installed on the iPhone and not in the App Store. In such a situation, according to Apple, the privacy nutrition label will be shown on the website of the app.
WhatsApp also had the same question that what will happen to the privacy nutrition label of the apps which are not on the App Store and for this reason it has also been told to be unfit.
