For this, users are asked to update the Chrome App. Malware installs in the user’s device instead of the Chrome app. After this, they ask the custom to pay one or two dollars. It is said to use a credit card to pay. In this way, Cyber Criminals hack credit card details. They can use it for fraudulent banking.

The matter does not end here, once the fake Chrome app is installed, it sends 2000 SMS every week to Victim’s phone. It messages random phone numbers for two to three hours every day. According to the researcher, the logo of the original chrome icon has been given in it.

To avoid this, never tell your credit card details to any unknown sender or person. Apart from this, never install a third-party app on the phone. If you want to update an app, do it from the official App Store of the phone.
