Duet videos can be made, Instagram Reels brought Remix feature
The social media platform Instagram is not willing to lag behind in the competitive market. Taking advantage of the ban on Tiktok in India, the Facebook-owned company launched Reels, a similar platform. To make the users happy, Instagram has brought ‘Remix’ in imitation of the popular feature duets of Tiktok. With this new feature, Instagram Reals users can create reaction videos, or respond to a friend or trending video.
Instagram has announced the launch of this new feature on Twitter. The company has informed that users will have the opportunity to create a new version of any existing Reels video along with the existing Remix feature. Follow the steps below to use this new Remix feature:
Open your Instagram Reel> Now select the Reel video with which you want to Remix> Now click on the three dots on the Reel video and from there select the Remix This Reel option> Then your mobile screen will be divided into two parts; The pre-recorded reel video will be on the right and what you are going to record will be on the left> Now start recording your own video by clicking on the Record button.
You can also edit your Remix video using effects, filters, sound tools. You can also change the volume of the original reel or your recorded video, or even add a voiceover if you wish. To change the volume you need to tap the slider icon at the top of the screen and tap the microphone icon to add voiceover. Once you have edited, post-Remixed Reel.
Instagram said that this feature will be added to the by-default account. To activate this feature in the old Reel, tap on the three-dot menu and click on ‘Enable Remixing’. If you want to Remix someone else’s Reel, you need to ask them to Enable Remixing. Also, if you want, you can turn off Remix for any or all of the specific reels at any time. All you have to do is go to the settings menu and turn it off and in the case of a specific one you have to turn it off by clicking on the three-dot menu. You have complete control over whether you allow others to remix your videos. Initially, it is by default in each profile but you can control it if you want. Also, if someone remixes your reel, you will be notified.
