Google Meet will offer 24 hours of free video calls until June
A year ago, the general public became acquainted with the concept of lockdown under the Corona, as well as the concept of ‘work from home. As a result, nowadays people have learned to have virtual meetings instead of going to the office and holding meetings. Not just meetings, family events, online classes, chatting with friends – all still rely on various video calling services, including Google Meet. As you all know, Google Meet can be enjoyed by downloading the app separately on the smartphone or by turning on an option from the Gmail application. And you don’t have to spend money to use this service, anyone can use it if they have a personal Gmail ID or a Google Account. In that case, as the popularity of Google Meet continues to grow and the Corona outbreak continues to grow, Google has decided to extend its free unlimited video calling service again. According to the report, this service of Google Meet is being extended till June 2021 this year. This means that Google Meet can be used as before for the next three months.
Earlier last September, Google Meet authorities said that up to 60 minutes of free video calls can be made on this platform due to one meeting. But seeing the huge demand among the customers, the company decided to continue this service till March 31, 2021. The company later integrates Google Meet with Gmail, making it easier to take advantage of Gmail without having to install the video calling app.
In a new statement, Google said in a news statement that the free version of Google Meet can be accessed until June 30 to make 24-hour video calls. Work from home, virtual meetings, online classes – these are the reasons why the platform has been enhanced to make free unlimited video calls.
In this regard, Google has mentioned in its workspace account that those who have a personal Gmail account will get the same free access as before and will be able to have online meetings with up to 250 people at once. Also, with the help of this platform, internal live streaming, call recording save etc. are also available.
Incidentally, over the past few months, Google Meet has added many new features, including blur backgrounds, noise cancellation, and the option to add more people during meetings. A number of new features have also been introduced for students and teachers, including the ability for teachers to control all students present at a meeting, moderation tools, meeting closing arrangements for all, and an advanced safety lock feature. With the Advanced Safety Lock feature, if an unknown person tries to disrupt a meeting during a meeting or chat, he or she can be blocked immediately.
