Google Maps has released a new feature. Now Google Maps will show bus information to the passengers of Delhi in real-time. Google pointed out that public transport can sometimes be uncertain. If the passengers have information about this, then they can plan the journey in a better way.
For this, Google has worked closely with the Delhi Transport Ministry, Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT), and Lepton Software. With the arrival of this feature, people will be able to get information about the exact time of arrival of the bus on Google Maps. This will make it easier for people to plan their trips.
Google said that Delhi passengers traveling between Azadpur Terminal and Punjabi Bagh Terminal can get information in this regard. They will also be able to see when the next bus stop is coming. Users can also get information about how long their journey is going to take.
If there is a delay in their bus arrival, then information about this can also be obtained from Google Maps. Google will automatically update the transit time based on the new conditions. On the basis of real-time information, the arrival time will be marked in red or green color on Google Maps.
To use it, Delhiites have to follow some easy steps. For this, first, open the Google Maps app on your phone (Android or iOS). After opening Google Maps, put your destination in it and click on Go. After this, enter the source and destination location in it.
If not already selected, select the transit icon. With this, you will get bus number, time, real-time arrival information highlighted in red or green color.
Users can click on Routes to get information about Routes Stop. Apart from this, by tapping on the bus stop, everyone can get information about the upcoming bus. Users can also get real-time information about any particular bus stop.
