The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have the same display, which comes as a bit of a surprise as it is not the case with the iPhone 11 series.
Apple has recently released the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro smartphones along with the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Now, the standard version and pro model are ready for pre-orders in India. Interested buyers can purchase the equipment by visiting Apple India’s online store or offline and online retail stores. There are many features that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro share. So, if you have any plans to buy one of these iPhones and there is confusion between the two, keep reading to clarify which one best suits your needs.
What are the similarities? Appearance and design
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have the same display, which comes as a bit of a surprise as it is not the case with the iPhone 11 series.
You get a 6.1-inch Super Retina display, which has a better screen size than devices with a 6.7-inch panel. It has a resolution of 1170 × 2532 pixels. Unlike the iPhone 11, the iPhone 12 has the same LED panel as the iPhone 12 Pro. You can still find a wider location at the top of the screen. So if you like the iPhone, you have to make peace with the wide line. The notch features a front camera, earpiece, face ID components, and other sensors. The design of Apple phones has not changed. You get the same square camera module and logo on the back. The HDR display supports a 20,00,000: 1 contrast ratio and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. The equipment is IP68 rated, which means it can survive in water up to a maximum depth of 6 meters, but only up to 30 minutes.
Processor, software, and more
The latest iPhones are powered by Apple’s home-browned A14 Bionic chip for the next-generation neural engine. They send it out of the box with iOS 14. Both devices have two stereo speakers – one at the top of the screen and the other at the bottom. The iPhone 12 Series supports 5G, Volte, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, NFC, and more.
Battery and charging
As always, Apple did not reveal the battery capacity of the devices. However, the company claims that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro offer up to 17 hours of video playback. They support Magsafe wireless charging up to 15W and wireless charging up to 7.5W. Apple has confirmed that the charger can charge up to 50 percent of the battery in about 30 minutes. Note, however, that you can only get this result with a 20W adapter sold separately.

What is different?
Now, if your budget is a bit low, there is no need to check the difference as it is much cheaper than the iPhone 12 Pro version. The standard version seems to be a good choice as there are very few variations and you get a lot of features and you do not have to spend more than a lakh for this. If you want to buy an iPhone 12 Pro, keep reading to find out the difference.
One area where the difference is quickly visible is the camera section. The iPhone 12 only has a dual-camera setup and no better lenses or advanced lidar sensor compared to the Pro version. The telephoto sensor also loses the handset. The iPhone 12’s rear camera setup features a 12 – megapixel sensor, f / 1.6 lens, 12 – megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, f / 2.4 aperture and 120-degree view. The company supported OES. Users can also shoot 4K videos. The handset only supports 2x optical zoom out and up to 5x digital zoom. The front has a 12-megapixel camera sensor with f / 2.2 lens.
The iPhone 12 Pro has the same rear camera setup, but here you also get a third 12-megapixel telephoto camera with f / 2.0 aperture. It supports 2x optical zoom, 2x optical zoom, TT, 4x optical zoom range, and up to 10x digital zoom for that, we can record videos and use 6x digital zoom. It also has a lidar sensor. For selfies, it has a 12-megapixel selfie camera and retina flash support.
In addition to the cameras, the Apple iPhone 12 Pro offers slightly more basic RAM/storage compared to the standard variant. Storage options in the Pro variant are available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, while Standard One is available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB options. With the Pro version, you get a more attractive stainless steel frame and a matte finish aluminum frame with the iPhone 12.
