Chinese tipster, the digital chat station, has claimed that Xiaomi will remove the screen from the top of the Mi Pad 5 series in the last week of this month. Prices for the series start at 2,999 yuan, which is about Rs 34,100.

What is known about the Mi Pad 5 series?
A few days ago, the render of the Mi Pad 5 series was leaked from XiaomiPlanet. According to the render, the rear camera layout of the Mi Pad 5 will look a lot like the Mi 11. Below the camera layout will be Xiaomi’s branding. Again a thick bezel can be seen in front of them.
Speaking of specifications, the MI Pad 5 tablet may come with a 10.95-inch LCD display. It will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Again, the Pro model may have a display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The tablets are rumored to come with a 2K resolution (2560 x 1800 pixels) display, 18:10 aspect ratio, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and in-cell active pen technology.

The Mi Pad 5 tab may use MediaTek Dimension 1200 chipset and the Mi Pad 5 Pro may use Qualcomm Snapdragon 60 chipset. Tabs will run on MIUI Pad OS. The dual-camera setup can be seen on the back of the Mi Pad 5 for photography. These cameras are a 20-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel secondary camera. Meanwhile, the base and Pro models can come with 8,520 mAh and 6,620 mAh batteries respectively.
