LG Uplus’s 5G Reality Glas – The world’s first 5G AR specs coming soon, the price will be Rs 44,166
The world’s first 5G AR specs-based Augmented Reality (AR) glass, i.e. glasses, is going to be launched in South Korea soon. It is made by South Korea’s big telecom firm LG Uplus Corp. LG Uplus Corp said on Tuesday that the company will launch U + Real Glass in partnership with Chinese mixed reality product developers Nreal and chipmaker Qualcomm. With this partnership, the company will expand its 5G service in the Viarables AR market. This glass of LG will support glasses especially LG Uplus 5G and Select Smartphone. This includes the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 smartphone, which has been recently launched by Samsung. LG Glass will compete with Jio glass in India. Jio Glass was launched at the annual general meeting by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries.
LG Uplus’s 5G Reality Glass is more friendly to the user. It weighs 88 grams. According to Yonhap News Agency, the price of this device can be around Rs 44,166. Users will be able to connect these specs to the USB port of the smartphone. Also, many applications will be supported in it. The smartphone will act like a remote for the device. The company is currently working on these glasses. It is expected that by next year, users will be able to control the device with the help of hand gestures. Apart from this, this device will support LG Uplus’ 5G based AR content, so that users will be able to see a live performance. The company is expected to roll out the device conference call service by next year in partnership with US-based AR developers Spatial. According to global market research firm IDC, by 2024 the global shipment of AR Glass could be 41.1 million. As of last year, AR Glass’s shipment was around 2 lakh units.
