According to TRAI, the purpose of this consultation paper is to identify such tariff offers, which are tailored to the consumers. Not only this, the issues related to the tariff offer offered by the service provider and their timelines have to be made according to the needs of a large section of consumers. TRAI has asked customers, industries, and other stakeholders whether it should intervene on the issue of deadlines or should it act as per the existing system.

TRAI has said that based on the feedback received from the customers, it seems that the customer is not satisfied with the fees/vouchers paid by the companies. In this case, the telecom service provider says that if this period is also reduced to 30 days, then in those months which are 31 days, customers will have to recharge again. TRAI has also asked that the stakeholder will have to show favor on how to estimate 30 days.
Companies offering plans like this
At present, plans of less than one year are being given on the basis of different timelines, which are more fixed according to the week instead of the common month. At present, companies are 28 days i.e. 4 weeks, 56 days, or 8 weeks. It is offering 84 days i.e. 12 weeks prepaid plan. However postpaid bills come for a month.
