Xiaomi is bringing a smartphone with 200-megapixel camera

But in order to make a name for itself in the market for the best mobile camera delivery, the Chinese tech giant wants to go one step further. In that case, there is speculation that the company plans to use a larger camera sensor to revolutionize mobile cameras, which could see a 200-megapixel primary camera on upcoming Xiaomi handsets.

According to popular Tipster, Digital Chat Room, the Chinese smartphone maker is currently working on a smartphone that will have a 200-megapixel camera sensor. So far, the 108-megapixel sensor is the largest mobile camera sensor. In that case, it is expected that the upcoming sensor will be manufactured by Samsung and will have 0.84 micrometers (8m) unit pixels. For information, the SOCELL GN2 sensor currently shows 1.4 μm unit pixels.
Meanwhile, the well-known Lexter Ice Universe has also revealed that the South Korean technology giant (Samsung) is planning to launch a new innovative camera sensor under its ISOCELL sensor this year, which will have a 200-megapixel image lens. He thinks that Samsung is making a new image sensor as the successor to the existing 108-megapixel sensor in the Galaxy S21 Ultra phone. As a result, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S22 series flagship smartphones are expected to feature a 200-megapixel sensor, though there is no news at the moment. Moreover, this sensor may be part of the company’s new foldable smartphones.
In this context, the 200-megapixel sensor is not the only large sensor that Samsung is working on. In fact, last year the company announced that they were working on developing a 600-megapixel smartphone image sensor, which would take several years to launch commercially. So in the coming days, Xiaomi or Samsung mobiles will have the best camera lens – only time will tell!
