Google has announced major changes to its Play Store system from May 5. According to Google’s update, now from May 5, app developers will have to give concrete and logical information as to why an app should be allowed to access the information of other apps in the smartphone of the users. This has been revealed by Arstechnica’s report. Google has updated its Developers Program Policy, which prevents one app from granting permission to access another app. Currently, Android 11 apps ask for every type of permission of all the apps on your device.
Why did Google have to change the policy?
Let us know that there are some apps in the Google Play store, which are installed on the phone, before the app is installed, users are asked permission to access the rest of the apps. In such a situation, many apps are able to get sensitive information such as banking, political affiliation, and password management with the help of other apps on your phone. Google will now get information from app developers about the purpose, search and interoperate for launching the app. However, due to security reasons, such information will not be taken from the banking app.
These apps will be blocked
Google will be shutting down spying apps from May 5, 2021. In fact, there are a large number of apps on the Google Play Store, which act as spies, with the intention of taking strict action on these apps from Google.
