There will be no surprise if WhatsApp stops working on Android smartphones, including some old iPhones, from 1 January 2021.
According to the company, iPhones running on iOS older than iOS 9 and Android smartphones running on software older than Android 4.0.3, will not support WhatsApp. It is being implemented from 1 January 2021.
Since there are very few people in the world who are still using a smartphone with such old version of software, therefore more users will not be affected by this move of WhatsApp.
