Don’t update your PC to Windows 11 now! Users are complaining about this serious flaw
Microsoft has released Windows 11 on 5 October. But after this update, users are facing a lot of problems. A bug has been reported in this.
Microsoft has released Windows 11 on 5 October. It looks like Windows 11 is not completely stable. Users have complained of bugs in it. According to a Reddit thread, the update is causing a memory leak issue. This problem is coming due to a bug in File Explorer.
When the computer gives too much RAM to a program and does not release the unused cache memory, it is called a memory leak.
This bug was first spotted by Reddit user Gyrohan269 on the beta version of Windows 11.
Now, this post is getting popular. Users who have installed the new operating system are facing the same problem. He is sharing his experience regarding this.
According to Reddit user Gyrohan269, when you open Windows Explorer and then close it, its used RAM increases by a few MB. Whereas it should have reduced when it was closed.
Understand this with an example like this – when the PC was turned on, the Windows explorer used 60MB of RAM. When a random folder was opened again, it reached 80Mb.
Now when this window was closed it was using 70Mb and not 60Mb. He further wrote in the post that when he opens and closes a folder several times, the RAM usage reaches up to 1GB.
According to the user, the RAM usage keeps increasing till you restart File Explorer from Task Manager or restart the machine.
RAM used can be checked from Task Manager. This bug has been reported on the Microsoft Feedback Hub but the company has not yet responded.
