Video calling at Google Meet will be doubly fun, with LR Masks and video filters
For more than a year now, Google Meet has become the easiest way to keep people under house arrest or work. And for the convenience of the users, this video calling platform of Google is also bringing one new feature after another. This video calling app recently added new video filters, effects, and augmented reality masks for personal calls on iOS and Android.
Google Meet App brings AR masks with Video Filter
According to The Verge, the Google Meet app will feature new features via a sparkle icon in the lower right corner of the video feed during a call, bringing a carousel with a variety of effects, including a color filter and animated AR face effects. Most options will only be available for personal Gmail accounts. Google tweeted about these features on July 8.
After Google last year offered a free Meet for personal Google Accounts, Meet has now brought these new video effects to the attention of enterprise and business users. These filters are already available for Google’s Duo video chat service.
By the way, the tech giant introduced two new features in its Google Meet app in June, which will enhance its live-streaming options. Google Meet users can now invite users from other domains to their live stream. In addition, they will be able to turn on live captions for improved accessibility.
