WhatsApp starts testing multi-device support and some more important features
The realistic way that proof WhatsApp support multi-device support
WhatsApp is going to release new features for its users within a week. The instant messaging platform is working on some more nifty features to be introduced very soon. According to WABetaInfo – a blog that tracks all upcoming WhatsApp features and updates – the platform has begun testing the long-awaited multi-device support feature. Additionally, WhatsApp has also begun testing features such as improved search, chat clearing, and more.
We all already know that WhatsApp has been working on the multi-device support feature for a very long time – almost a year now. However, the latest report has new details about the feature. The report states that WhatsApp has begun testing the multi-device support feature, which hints at an imminent launch. Reports state that this feature is being tested for both Android and iOS.
Tips of reading messages in WHATSAPP without the blue right
The multi-device support feature will make it easier for users to multi-task and easily switch from one device to another. Currently, unless you are using WhatsApp Web, a WhatsApp account cannot be logged into two devices at the same time. If you login to your WhatsApp account on another device then you will be automatically logged out in the first device. The upcoming feature will solve this problem and allow WhatsApp users to log in to more than one device.
The report further states that WhatsApp is testing the feature with four devices logged in simultaneously. If true, this would be a very important feature for technical journalists like us who review multiple devices at the same time, and also for those who regularly switch from one device to another.
More new WhatsApp features
Additionally, WhatsApp is testing more features, the report said. It states that the messaging platform will soon allow users to search both individual chats as well as in groups by “date”. This feature will make it easy for users to search for chats, pictures, videos, and other details shared on a particular date. The feature is currently testing for iOS users, but will likely come on Android as well. It will also work on a web version, the report states.
Some of the features that WhatsApp has started testing are enhanced storage usage, new clear chat feature, and support for share chat.
In the midst of the Kovid-19 epidemic, the instant messaging platform has introduced several new features to combat the spread of fake news on the platform. It introduced chat bots, limited forward messaging features, and more in collaboration with the Indian government.
